Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sanum ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Provider Accounts

Healthcare provider accounts require verification of professional credentials. By creating a provider account, you represent that:

  • You hold a valid NPI number and professional license in New York State
  • The credentials and information you provide are accurate and current
  • You will maintain accurate profile information
  • You will not share your account credentials with others

Sanum reserves the right to reject or revoke any provider account that does not meet our verification standards.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Include Protected Health Information (PHI) in referrals or messages unless PHI features are explicitly enabled for your organization
  • Misrepresent your credentials, specialty, or professional qualifications
  • Harass, spam, or send unsolicited communications to other users
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Platform

4. No PHI in MVP

The current version of Sanum is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) that does not support Protected Health Information. Referrals use patient initials and age ranges only. Full clinical details should be exchanged via secure, HIPAA-compliant channels after an initial connection is made on the Platform.

When PHI features are enabled for your organization, additional terms and a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) will apply.

5. Referrals and Professional Responsibility

Sanum facilitates connections between healthcare providers. The Platform does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. All clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the referring and receiving providers. Sanum is not liable for the quality, outcome, or appropriateness of any referral or treatment.

6. Limitation of Liability

Sanum is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sanum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of patients, revenue, or data.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
